Paul Shoemaker, Principal

Paul Shoemaker is an experienced educator with a passion for empowering young people. With a BA in Sports and Recreation Management from Tiffin University and an Ohio Non-Tax education license, he has dedicated 17 years to shaping the lives of students.

Principal Shoemaker brings a wealth of experience from previous roles as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Arcadia, as well as Athletic Director, Assistant Principal of Discipline, and Director of Academic Success at Calvert Catholic Schools.

He is committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment at Bridges, where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. He believes in the importance of kindness, compassion, and community, and strives to create a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Outside of school, Principal Shoemaker is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his family: wife Gina and children AJ, Braxton, Leah, and Macie.

Dr. Chad Carr, Executive Vice President

Dr. Chad Carr is the creator of the Blitz™ Academic Model and Hinckley Preparatory’s Executive Vice President.  Dr. Carr joined ACCEL Schools in 2015 with over 27 years of experience as a K-12 educator, coach, principal, and superintendent of schools in Ohio and Kentucky. Prior to joining ACCEL Schools, Dr. Carr served as Executive Vice President of Mosaica Education, where he turned-around failing charter schools in Ohio.

Community School

Bridges Preparatory Academy is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by Richland Academy of the Arts, which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high-performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States.

Community Schools (Charter Schools) offer families an alternative to the local public school. Community schools are tuition-free, open to all students in the county, and focused on meeting student needs for success. Community schools are among the top-performing schools in the nation.
